Dr. Heller received his Ph.D. from UMass-Amherst in 1965 and worked at the Worcester Youth Guidance Center (1966-68) and Boston University School of Medicine (1968-73) before entering full-time private practice in Needham, MA. He was the co-founder of Needham Psychotherapy Associates, LLC (www.npaonline.com), a large, multi-discipline private practice group and has published extensively on marketing mental health practices.
Dr. Heller, a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts since 1968, specialized in services to children, families, and couples until his retirement in 2006. He has been a frequent resource for local media and his column, "ParenTalk", which was published in local newspapers for eleven years, now appears regularly on this website (past articles are also found here).
